If you're blue and you don't know where to go to,

I had fun on Friday night (I was on off!) watching Journey to the Centre of the Earth at GV.

Directed by Eric Brevig, this film is based on Jules Verne’ classic 1864 novel (we have 2 remaining copies at Page One Literature section, yet sadly, we couldn't even locate one yesterday. how pathetic!), but updated to the 21st century, in which Fraser (who acted as Rick O' Connell in the new Mummy) plays an eccentric scientist who takes his nephew and an Icelandic mountain guide on a quest that unexpectedly launches them on a thrilling journey deep beneath the Earth’s surface, where they travel through never-before-seen worlds and encounter a variety of unusual creatures!

I don't quite get why movie-goers criticize the fact that they survive a huge fall but mention nothing about the FICTIONAL ****ING CREATURES! It's a MOOOVIIIEEEE!
Ever see a movie where a guy gets shot, bleeds, but somehow can do a whole karate fight with the bad guy. Same thing. Its a movie, enjoy it, or don't go see it, and stop critiqing the CG. This one is fantastic, by the way.

The show's definitely on my "must watch" list! No, it's not going to be some oscar winner... just fun. Believe me, the totally CGI subterranean realm is a marvel, in a theme-parky way, strange places that are totally fakey looking yet completely photorealistic at the same time - it’s like being in a live-action cartoon and you can relive your childhood all over again, and let your imagination run wild!

You might have completely forgotten the entire experience before the credits are over, but it’s fun while it lasts.

Enough said, then it was down for Earthquake at T3's Earl's Swensens.

The next day was Desmond's (my ex-officer now) last day at work. We actually gave him a printed picture of us all (which was made into like a frame with cardboard glued over its back) with a goodluck-farewell note attached. But this is another story altogether. I shall blog about it some other day, maybe when I receive the photos. On another side note, I managed to help Ayu shelved some of her books. That was the least I could do before Orange comes back to work (back from Osaka... and welcome back to Singapore!!) and Ayu, hope that lessen your stress yup.

Fadhli visited us at work in the afternoon. That was my first time seeing him again since he first entered and experienced 'treachery' that is National Slavery. So army has made a change in him. He looked quite shagged (effects from the training), a bit bored (Haha... I know why) and of course so much tanned now. Anyhow, army has seriously turned me (maybe him too) emptier than I already am, and I remembered getting glued to the Thrash Realm of MTV in camp which obviously doesn't make me anymore of a thinking soldier I should be. But I supposed I missed everything, and by everything I mean the people I've met.

That evening after work was spent with some lovely folks from Page One. Hawa, Nini and Taufiq dropped by, and we headed down to Arab Street for dinner, where we talked deep into (which we rarely had the chance too), and at times prompting the-much-needed laughters from everyone. Hahaha. I admitted me and radin wanted to go home straight at first... but I supposed the company was fun. So tell me who can forget about the cockroaches?

(Funny how I've kept my smile outside, but this empty yearning deep inside.)
