Darn that dream.

December was supposed to be spent on a well-deserved holiday with my dearest family. With us sharing great family moments together that is worth to be the new Kodak commercial. But sigh, I don't even think I can go up to KL for a weekend. My sister... she recently came back from California. (I am a little envious looking at her warm California photos!) And then last week, my mum... she went to Malacca just to soak in the old atmosphere and meet up with her long-time-never-seen relatives.

How I wished I could. But, it's alright because this coming January, me, my brother and my sister... we planned to book a hotel in Singapore. Yes, in Singapore, either in the city or Sentosa! Just for the fun of it. Lets say maybe two nights. It's gonna be great. We'll see to it.

Anyhow, last Friday and Saturday, Vivo City extended its mall hours for those late night, last minute Christmas shoppers, and having to work on both consecutive days, it's enervating. I think I deserved a mental breakdown! (I still remember me and my uni mates would always go for a haircut like at the end of the month, whenever we felt so stressed up. But that's another story altogether.)

So what's more perfect to do than to snuggle and rot at home the following day on a Sunday (that is my off-day). However what me and my mum did was to head down to Courts and Ikea instead, which I swear never fail to excite me. Probably because I've always had the notion of being an interior designer one day ever since I was a small kid. Okay, to be honest, there was another more radical reason for us to go there and that was to scout for my mother's new bed. Believe me. You wouldn't wanna know why. (Ayu, I know it's comical.)

Yup, we managed to get a nice, comfy bed and it's gonna be delivered this Wednesday afternoon! And I managed to check out on the DVD recorders at Courts too. 'Cause I planned to get a brand new one. Yes, feasibly next month! It's all very intriguing. Then it was down to the Converse shop at Tampines Mall where I got my new pair of shoes. I like! Oh yes, Orange, I've already seen the holiday sale on Threadless!! So are you buying them?

Last night, my friend told me this over msn, "U R stil the same, fan. U can never save up. juz like back in poly." Lol.

Okay, whatever it is, I shall be going for a swim later if the weather accedes. Nowadays, it can rain relentlessly and the humidity makes me want to kill myself! Till, then.

Lest my mind wanders about.

I'm tired. Exhausted. I wonder what it has all led me to, because right now, I'm not happy with what I'm seeing. Everything feels numb. When will this stop? Sometimes I may laugh wholeheartedly at myself, being completely self-deprecating like a tragic figure laughing in a comedy. But in truth, I despised myself. There is not even a tinge of self-pity. I know, because I've searched high and low.

I can't find me. You won't either.

These are the days when I realised there are so much variations of jadedness, and I am sick of every single one of them. I can't cheer myself up at times. Don't get me wrong. I am not bitter or angry or anything. I am trying to remain positive. I really am. But one thing for sure,

I will learn to say no, in future.

And I really, really ban those people (don't want to mention any names) who pass sarcastic remarks to someone who is trying to share his/her problems with them. You know what. You overstep the border. Get a life and fark off.

On a sidenote, my sis and her family had safely reach Japan this morning. Transiting there first before heading straight to California. Woohoo! Sis, have fun exploring! See all of you in three weeks.

So anyway, we took plenty of pictures while waiting for the intended flight at the airport yesterday. Heh. heh. Such camera whores, we certainly are.

Time away from work is exactly what I need right now. I don't want to go back. But whatever it is, I will get through this week!

One love for the times we cried
One love gotta stay alive
I will survive.

In other breaking news, which goes to all my colleagues out there who don't know about this yet, Ismail told some of us about this blog last Tuesday. I didn't believe it at first. Wow, amazing. What an avid fan we have! You gotta check that out to know what I mean. So click on that link.

The end is the beginning is the end.

Yesterday was Chin Lee's last day. There was once he approached me and for the very first time, he finally called me by my proper name and not the usual Ah-Fan. I looked at him and replied with a hello. But he suddenly showed me this very sad face. Strangely, I didn't ask him why but I immediately mentioned that I'm sad too. He did ask me why with a pat on my shoulder. I answered, "because today is your last day". He smiled at me and advised me in a strict but friendly manner not to be silly.

What he said instantly jolt me up from slumber. Life changes in an instant but I supposed a part of me didn't wanna let go of the past. At times, I wonder what is holding me back. There are text messages in my phone that are dated as far as two years back. I have a habit of not deleting my text messages until the phone reminds me that the memory is full, and then I'd delete the latest ones until I see some random message from months ago.

I told myself that the moment I finally bring myself to click 'Delete All Inbox', it means I am ready to move on to a new page. But I don't feel it yet.

By the way, Orange. I'm certainly gonna miss him punching me on my shoulders which I clearly have no idea of what purpose, sometimes stealing my lunch and calling me Ah Fan each time I stepped into the back office. It'll be exactly just like how you miss him calling you Apple, I know. He's funny. Suddenly, it reminded me that many a times, he wrongly called me by my colleague's name (which weirdly sound similar to others). That day before his last day, he called me wrongly again, and my other colleagues corrected him loudly by saying my proper name (No wonder he called me correctly that day). Then I told him jokingly that he will certainly forget me after he leaves since he always forgot my proper name. I have not a clue but the funny thing is he gave me a long hug after which and smiled.

However, I didn't manage to say a proper goodbye to him before he left. What with the pathetic tonnes of stocks to shelve. I'm surely gonna miss and ponder the old times. As much as I badly wanna turn back time. But I know there are many others who still cling on to their past. Just today, my colleagues talked about all the happy times they had with their ex-colleagues over lunch. Good memories will never go away, won't they?

A change would be good? Or bad?

I am not a huge fan of change. In other breaking news, Monday, I will have to work with someone new. Not that anyone really care. It's gonna be a whole new chapter again. Why is it that when I was about to feel comfortable working with someone, they just had to leave.

To be honest, I just hate the beginnings. Sometimes.

All I ask for is __________.

So anyways, we need to move on.

To you,

I'd always hold on to this quote saying "Don't let someone become a priority in your life, when you are just an option in theirs."

The truth is, I'm not gonna waste my time. 'Nuff said.

I could fall asleep anytime now, even though I know a cup of coffee is all it takes to jolt me up from a slight slumber.

I'm quite tired, really. But I will give a smile still, albeit weakly.

Peace pills, people.

An Essential Guide to Singlish.

I laughed instantly when I saw this in one of the toilet cubicles in the shopping mall where I'm working at.

Gosh. Of course, I didn't laugh aloud myself inside the cubicle to be embarrased. You can never imagine how startled and terrified some people will be. But just try speaking this in an ah beng lingo. You know how, it's quite hilarious!

*Do you ever give a thought why these insane people vandalise walls to rant, rave and vent (haha don't tell me it's graffiti) when they can in fact, release their heavily lined up-ed narcissistic pursuits in a blog like this.

However, I'd gladly talk to 20 ah bengs who speak like that than to some Singaporeans who speak perfectly good English. Some people reaaaally make me wanna clench my fists and grit my teeth, and yet, I have to speak to them nicely and try to get them to listen.

Here's one typical scenario.

Customer: Hello?
Victim: Good morning, how can I help you?
Customer: I've enquired about a book last two weeks. One of the staff told me the book will arrive this week. But why have I not gotten any response yet?
Victim: Errr...
Customer: I might be flying overseas next Wednesday and I need it quite urgently. This reflects poorly on your service... blah blah...
Victim: zzzz...
Customer: Are you listening?
Victim: Er... Yes yes... I'm with you sir...

I WASN'T THE ONE HANDLING YOUR ENQUIRY!

These kind of customers are the really longwinded kind. They can paint a whole portrait in technicolours when they just want to simply find out the status of the book they want. What's worst if they use the irritated and impatient tone, as if I can control when they get their goods.

But it's ok, I can get my own kicks out of this.

Victim: *after checking the system* Ok sir, it's true we've placed an order for this book some time ago and we supposed to receive it last two days. It may be out of stock at our supplier side. However I can still check with them again. If they really do not have it, then I can only order for you from overseas...
Customer: Ya
Victim: Blah blah... but this process takes approximately 4-6 weeks...
Customer: WHAAAT!?!?

I simply love stressing on the "4-6 weeks" part! I get a cheap thrill listening to the impatient customers let out a loud GASP!

Revenge is shiok!!!

MUAHAHAHAHA! CAN YOU FEEL THE SENSE OF EMPOWERMENT?

Oh yes! I have to share this hilarious conversation I had with another customer yesterday. It made me laugh by myself after that!

Customer: Haaaaalow!
Victim: Good morning. I'm calling regarding the book... blah blah... (fyi, it's a Feng Shui book)
Customer: Orrh... I want to enquiry, how much is it ah?
Victim: *shudders at the bad English* It's $22.50 without GST sir. (cos I forgot to calculate first)
Customer: Then hor, with GST, will more anot ah?
Victim: -_-"

CLASSIC!

I've always thought that majority of the locals are educated, if not knowledgeable enough so as not to appear utterly spastic.

OBVIOUSLY NOT.

(There're definitely alot more hilarious people out there which I've yet to encounter while working here.)

*On a side note, it's my boss' last day at work tomorrow. Will surely miss him when he leaves.

30.8.08

Change.

Perhaps one of the greatest joy of working isn't just relating to your desire to do things well and even better, earning the salary and getting to do whatever you want with the money you've earned, or simply dealing with stuff you love to do. It is also about the people you meet along the way.

So Yuan Zheng and Li Li (who doesn't appear on the above photo), I guess it's goodbye. For now. Hope we'll meet again! Well, maybe along the streets yo. Come visit us soon!!

(Dilla, look now because of you I couldn't even smile properly on the photo! =p)

There is one promise I made to myself a few days back, that I will not sound like I'm downing anti-depressants with Mcflurry (Haha. Mira, I think we should have another Mcflurry again on one of these days during the fasting month?!). That I will not let my mind wander about into an oblivion I am incapable of diving into. That I will occupy myself with lots and lots of outdoor activities and stay busy. That I will understand that not everyone is accustomed to my brand of humour. That I will be nicer to people. But well, not too nice. That I will stop frowning or stare into space.

And I want to take photos again. My Flickr account is getting a little too dusty.

Alright, that's alot of promises.

*

O' yes. Take a look at this website, PUTRI BERENDAM, for a guide to eating places which are Halal in Singapore. Especially for those of you who intend to organise eatouts for your muslim friends during the Fasting Month. How exciting. I can't wait. TWO MORE DAYS!

(The road ahead holds different dreams for me and you. And nothing lasts forever though we want it to. We separate and meet again along the way as the path encourages us to continue.)

11.8.08

Major rant post.

I am not having the best of days lately. Everyday, the thought of my colleagues leaving the workplace still lingers around the back of my head. I hate this. I really do.

And to add to this mental burden I've friggin' imposed upon myself and more than anything, my officer is also tendering his resignation this week, which means leaving me to do every little damned thing on my own from next month onwards - yes, on my own, seriously, cause even my exec has already tendered, and best of all, I do not have even one single part-timer to help me. This is fucking pathetic!

I don't mind the Bestseller and Sales report, the 15 new non-fiction title report, and whatever crap shit report there is, cause I've been doing them all this while. But then, there is this weekly title replenishment, and not to mention shelving of the neverending stocks, which is enough to kill me. Let alone, doing them all by myself.

My section will be going thru major expansion and shifting of books probably end of this month. Perhaps now that my exec and my officer will be leaving, I have to friggin' re-explain every little thing we have planned out to whoever's replacing their job in this project. I'm not complaining, but how can anyone be so selfish?

I hate to say this but as for my officer, I have always understood he isn't really happy with the working style and the environment here and to leave with a one-week notice just like that (although he knows that our exec will be leaving already, and we are lacking of people, and still going thru major expansion), I supposed that's being irresponsible. I know if he leaves, this is none of his business. Okay, I don't fucking care, it's his future, but if he has that little sense of responsibility, he would at least wait till there is someone to replace him first before leaving. Don't run away from reality.

I'm tired. I don't want to be angry anymore. But I think I'm far too jaded to give a damn shit. I just let what I feel out of my system without filtering.

(And the worst advice one can give is, 'Don't think too much.')
I honestly wished I fucking could. I am so frustrated with the world and even more so with myself. Why do I even fucking care?

Out of the sudden I felt so fucken shitty I wanted to tear for awhile, just for awhile. Maybe then everything will be ok again. I wanted to run away from the world, yet I was hoping someone would listen to my rants and tell me it's ok to rant. I think is only human and there is absolutely nothing wrong letting your honesty out.

I find it hard to read my own mind sometimes. So I scrolled down my phonebook to see if anyone could share my madness, but there was none. i make my own decisions i guess. i can continue to gloat about it or finally decides to follow my heart.

I don't know what should I do exactly. But should I really let go all of this and leave? Taufiq mentioned to me before that I should endure and show what I am capable of. I'm not even sure myself. Somehow, it's always easier said than done.

I may have ran out of words to say to anyone, even to myself now. So to my dearest colleagues or anyone who read this, if you have any advice? Thanks.

*(sorry for the inappropriate words)

3.8.08

So you can't find the rewind button.

(Bye Yani! You will be dearly missed. It was great working with you. Come, drop by here again soon!)

2.8.08

Is this alright?

I'm doing my Bestseller and Sales Report at home, this hour.

(ugh. my brain's all filled up with idiosyncratic ideals. cannot afford to type in humourously intelligent entries. cos there's none.)

Meanwhile, take a look at our front of store window display theme for August - before and after it got touched up by our display artist.

(before) why the crescent and the stars hung way above the flag's parameter? haha... you've got to do something about it

and...

(after) TA-DAH. This is more like it, isn't it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE (7 more days to go)!

31.12.06

Moving on.

We shook hands, said our good-byes, then we departed. A CRS mate jested, "So we see you in two-years time."

I said nothing but beamed.

The photo above, also saw me rounding off my last official committal at work last Thursday. Yes, I was contented with the company of my workmates, plus I had good time even with the commonplace politics that persevere. Who can forget a colleague who fancies sending good-humored text messages to the radio during work and another who fusses the entire afternoon over an iced mocha without whipped cream? The mere all-day standing appeared less weary and the straight 8-hours seemed not so arid with all the odd-but-fun people. Dissimilarly, I once stepped into a KFC outlet in the suburb witnessesing a discourteous staff all yelling at her workmate before the queue of customers. 'Uncivilised' I thought. I was momentarily grateful.

It was like a day before, when I shrink-wrapped the Eragon's and Amy Tan's The Joy Luck Club, the same literature text from school along with Romeo & Juliet, except with a different cover. Little did I expect I would dip into the book once again in my soon-to-be 23 years of age. English Literature was entertaining and none of my classmates miraculously quitted literature for History, but that's another story altogether. Let's not go into that.

Note to my CRS mates: I'll never forget the experience and hopefully we'll get to meet-up someday again.

From livelihood to film, I wasn't a Manga buff for Death Note but I enjoyed the movie as much. I saw The Last Name later the same day in the evening with Joseph, Yan Ning, Ken and KY. It wasn't a disappointment but Ken and I agreed that part one was better. A bit complicated towards the end but wasn't that bad. After, we cab down home like we normally do cos we all live east-side, except for KY. No problem for taxi-fares cause Joseph owns Comfort and Citicab. I was only kidding, ya! -Haha-

Movies aside. It was down for books at school the next day with another campmate after his job interview. Boy, when will I ever revise the past academic stuff? Did I change not over the past few years, I am the usual last-minute. -Sigh-

We had lunch at SIM's Megabites Cafe, which practices a concept whereby we only pay upon leaving. I must say it was worth it, a cosy cafe, with affordable, nice food, what else! We also toured around NP (which made me feel really old) before heading to Al-Ameen for a glass of milo (which I was terribly addicted to!). Oh, I'll never forget Linus' joke about me looking alike those working at Al-Ameen during our campdays. Crap!

It was almost unimaginable that I am returning to good old school life again. Just yesterday, I was like scouring for writing materials at a bookstore where I met a secondary school mate. The first thing she asked was "Buying notepads and all?!" -Haha- Why not.

Whatever it is, today's a holiday. Similarly for the days to come. I gotta catch the so many TV shows! Happy holidays.

Goodbye 2006. Again, I'm left with the lessons of laughter and pain.

24.12.06

War of Nerves.

Bump into me reveling in a hot tea at the traditional-and-modern fused coffestall labelled Ya Kun (enunciated 'Ah-Koon'), or relishing a mango frap at Starbucks Coffee isolated on a lazy afternoon like today, if the weather accedes. Momentarily, it can rain relentlessly and the humidity makes me want to kill myself! Or if getting out of the house isn't appropriate, then it will be a perfect reason to have one entire afternoon dedicated for just sleeping or snuggle at home watching my long-due-to-see DVDs. But no, I should be doing some other like seeing my friends particularly when I got Saturday-off this week, which in turn eventuate it into a longer weekend plus christmas for catching-up! Yay. Not that the weekdays 'forbid', I'm moderately enervated to take on anything after work notably the past few weeks.

MPH is believably receiving a little too much, like endless this holiday season! That I am assured. Almost impassable to clear all, can we? I so need physical and mental rest, anyone heard me?! Well, I do get occasional visits on common days from campmates like Joseph, Ken and then a few of my other closer friends had skied in, when I wasn't working. -Haha- At least, I could drift my focus away from the ceaseless work even for a short while. Thanks. I long readjusted myself to the season of retail madness. It's a remarkable change of feeling; that I see MPH as one work place now and not one bookstore in a shopping mall like I did formerly.

I missed the supplier's eat treats last few weeks. I was on medical leave. Nevertheless, just last Friday another treat, everyone! And then one of my colleagues unexpectedly bought us Starbucks' blended mocha. Of course, I will always remember that part when another MPH mate of ours constantly grumbled about how bitter it was without whipped cream but we can still do without it, really. And that my other colleague's frap was the only exceptional one with the cream! Boy, that was comical.

My colleagues said I was lucky. The other day, I had to do deliveries to all the city and suburb outlets with our driver. But unanticipated things occurred en route like we were partly drenched in rainwater right after lunch, then there was a tree fall at Tagore Drive and no matter what we still had to dash across it! And there was this one odd customer order which we were rather displeased with. Radically, we not only wasted an hour till after two (the place's a corporate government office where the lunchtime is until 2pm), we were also given an absolute wrong customer name (no such name in that one building) by the customer herself which I myself was utterly confused and basically no idea how and why. Despite there was no contact number. And the second immediate person to receive on her behalf (who indeed exists) wasn't even around. The following day was similar. Couldn't the security just collect it first and then give to her when she returns? What-so-ever, I went to
SP as well to deliver MPH vouchers for their forthcoming open house. Like whenever I went back school, it surely brought old good retrospection. And that goes all the way back to the years where I used to be a constant official helper for the courses and career fair open houses with the rest. Was that fun, extra CCA points!!

Moving on from livelihood to hq meet-up part IV at Vivo City today! The last for 2006. The MRT station at Harbourfont was jam-packed, it was almost like having an autograph and take-a-photograph session of the most popular actor from Taiwan there with all the screaming fans which will soon result in stampede. What typical Singaporeans, they are forever rushing like God-knows-how. That precisely happened when I alighted from the train. Never but almost crushed. Anyway our original idea was to watch the silver screen ever since our previous get-together at Harry's (Heard and remember that!? It wasn't only me. Haha) but since we got our own holiday plans in the evening and cos of the crowd, we sticked to just lunch at Fig and Olive, in which I agreed the food wasn't good. I didn't recommend, I was just saying cos I saw the restaurant beside Earl's Swensens the other day. And then headed down for coffee. My frozen chocolate frap wasn't that bad. Today's get-together was without Joseph for the very first time. Anyhow, Death Note II. The movie trailer's out!

But we didn't take any photos today ya. Till next year's January outing. At Clarke Quay, I heard. Mosaic of our meet-up (October and November), below.

An entirely different note altogether, why is there people who likes to criticize so much instead of really helping or giving advice? If you can tag me. That's friggin reality. To those out there, anyone, I shall seriously suggest why dont you look at yourselves first before criticizing others, can? Duh.

Last Friday, met my secondary school closer buddies at White Sands. Yes, we all changed. It's funny we always said the words 'keep-in-contact' when we ourselves didn't even try. At times, you did try but just that the other do not really bother so much. So why we? -Hmm- Oh did you watch Supernatural last Friday? (though it was shown on AXN already) Great, cool tv series after The Ghost Whisperer.

Finally, I've picked up on my running again after a hiatus. Was like finally. Yeah hopefully I'll stay faithful to it.

Hari Raya Aidiladha next week. Already the festive songs playing on the local radio. Christmas songs on-aired concurrently this year. Oh ya, have a great Christmas and Aidiladha for anyone celebrating.

It's gonna be 2007 soon. Doesn't quite feel like one year ya. New year, what's my resolutions? I wouldn't wish to be like a voice without words. I will suppress my fears. And battle through this - War Of Nerves. What's yours?

Tired but i'm going out again after this. -Haha- Till then take care people.

16.12.06

A new drive.

Weekend bloggin is by far my new drive, if my weekend's idle and when everything else bores me like riffling thru a similar NewPaper oftimes, having no Ipod aboard the interminable MRT rides and then falling into slumberland. But everything's different. That alludes to the former school days where I could rip off an internet access and conceivably rant about my life in a blog like this amid the colorless IT practicals in the lab.

But at least, school's commencing the 10th, consequent month. Last Friday, there was a briefing session, and I'm completely exempted from the first year! Yay. So, it's gonna be two years. Thank God, looking at the course schedule, I've only a few weekend lectures to attend to. Looking forward but a bit solicitous. The matter of fact, I've yet to revise everything that has been erased from this memory after the long two-year-two-months army daze. -Argh- And that it's about damn time I get all the relevant facts in my head again. Till then, orientation day with the seniors on the 3rd! What Ice-Breakers?!

Met up with Leong Huat at Dover the other day before heading down to school. I figured I miss the good old SP days after seeing the juniors hastening towards the Engineering building, seemingly late for lectures that is. -haha- Today Dan turns 22! Allow me to reiterate this again; time surely flies. So, Happy Birthday Dan.

For now, I shall be complacent with my job first. Speaking of which, why must there be what I called it 'politics' (not the government, or the foreign affairs) in a workplace or everywhere else? Yet something deep to ponder about - wouldn't the world be a greater place to live in if each and everyone of us enjoys each other's company. But again, we are only humans. I do believe you get what I mean. Do you??

Like recently, Channel 5 showed the guy with the turrets syndrome. How bitter life can be? Never mind me. You'll get what I mean if you had watched ya.

I'm tired. Take care you good people. I should be sleeping by now. I'll have more to blog next time.

I haven't seen the lights in town. How pathetic!

2.12.06

And I need a change.

Settin out for December already! And this day-to-day phase of a mortal being is so much wrapped up that I haven't had the time to really take a proper break (count out that sleeping part) and appreciate this bit of life at home. What 'so-happening' life. Duh! Reality, it's so routine, close to but not to the extent of being totally lifeless! Never to mention blogging, I'm just temperately weary to even do one moment of msn-catching-up with my list of contacts. But all-the-more thanks to my colleague, no more working late this week now that he returned from Florida and New York (I wanna go there!). But thats like 6k worth of trip! -Faint. One fine day that is! Oh did I not mention about my one in-charge. Nah I have nothing against him or what-so-ever but I just dislike his what I called it kan-chiongness. The rest - I get on well with them.

So finally, I got my hands on this non-living companion yesterday (like finally!) and true what my former campmate said via msn; I was too busy to come online nowadays. And being at work for consecutive Saturdays is definitely a 'misery', but I'm on off today! I wished I could sleep longer and besides, I better update myself on the recent films in town. I was one seasoned, movie addict amid my camp days with Joseph and clique. We go all the way back from Just My Luck to X-Men III to Re-cycle to Death Note I and to remember that promise of meeting up for the coming-soon Death Note II. Never mind me, ever since the ending of my army stint, I am totally clueless of whats-the-latest. With only Dead Or Alive being the most recent on my list of watched-movies. Hopefully in the near future! Lately, I saw the film 'Heart' on vcd cos its soundtrack is crazily a hit on the radio right now; Irwan Shah and Acha Septriasa starred in it. I have a few of its songs on my mp3's listen-on-bus-to-work playlist. Oh boy was it a rather slowy-draggy story plot but I'm impressed by how deep a friendship can be, hard to find one these days.

*Irwan Shah and Acha Septriasa's My Heart on the blog's current playlist. Click on it!

I felt like I'm in touch with my roots again. Today you might just discover a few malay numbers on my mp3 in between my many English and Mandarin songs (some would have known that part of my grandparent's a Chinese and that clarifies ya). And Agnes Monica's songs i.e. Tak Ada Logika and Ku T'lah Jatuh Cinta gets better with each listen. -Hmm-

On a entirely different note, I was talking about HQ meet-up (part III) previously and yeah we settled for Esplanade's Ichiban Boshi for dinner. If there's an alternative, I would still prefer Sakae Sushi. Maybe because of the so interactive up-to-date technology, much more convenient. If you have gone there before, you would have a certain notion of what I actually implied. Ha anyhow it was not long ago since I dined there with Kenneth, KY, Jeremy and Joseph. But Ichiban Boshi wasn't that bad indeed cos I had an open view of the waterfront and Singapore skyline. Then it was jazz at Harry's Bar. Boy, it was sunday night, we missed out the regular live acts.

This meet-up wasn't as lively compared to our previous. Was it because it had been one entire month since? Read more about our Ichiban Boshi and Harry's Bar meet-up, on Stanley's entry on his blog.

Oh, Sam's gathering was duly postphoned. God knows how is he gonna arrange it at the west-side on a weekday afternoon when we are working office hours in the east area? It's only weekend, dinner, or never. And CSM... he recently asked me if I can take his kids for tuition. Seeing my rather packed schedule, I guessed it'll be another time.

I've yet to explore the newly-opened Ikea and Vivo City (I heard about it's GV multiplex!) - Another our-own-hq-meet-up (part IV) countdown in a few weeks time apparently third week of December! Then, this time it will be everybody has ord-ed. Oh, it's left with Tim. Hey Tim don't worry, cos time sure flies! Yeah! One more motion picture after The Pirates of The Carribean - Dead Man's Chest ok?!

*But all in all, I got all the photos up on my flickr! Go see it!

Moving on to another note. It was a get-together with my SP clique at Leong Huat's place last Saturday. Had bbq (and that we fortuitously created what we described as 'haze' all along the stretch of Hazel Park's neighbourhood!) and after it was Punitha's 22nd. That reminded me (like everytime) I'm going to be twenty-three when all my closer buddies just turned/turning 22. -Argh- The thing about us is that we will consistently have this gathering on everyone's birthday and that I'll always be the first cos mine's January and then followed by everyone else's towards the mid and end of the year. That clearly explains why's the feeling, does it? And the part where you all left me and then I had to walk myself the long stretch of road. Ha never mind... Meanwhile snapshots will be up soon on my Flikcr account once I got all of them from Shah! *Ay I forgot to bring along my own digicam.

Alright, this is more than enough for now and I realised I haven't done so much things. I haven't been running. Its been a while. What life! I seriously wished I could friggin change my current life routine for the better...

*Anybody who still do read, please tag something can? Let me know there's still you around here. Tk care!

Over-load.

Midway thru a comparatively so-occupied, somewhat overloaded month at MPH! And considering the soon-to-be month of December (Christmas!), it's straight out retail madness. I shan't elaborate. Anyhow, all went well so far, and hopefully i'll get thru this entire month!

This is utterly irrelevant but I experience and perceive that almost every superior (the biggest in a company) either previously or say even now at my current workplace are actually
(1) absent-minded and unaware of their immediate surrounding, (2) if not completely lost, (3) not notified at all, (4) or maybe extremely busy, ya I've no idea. Take my so-forgetful boss in camp aight, for example. Totally lost when it comes to i.e. his company's manpower (and so the lack-of-manpower problem's a major these days), ay not that he's absolutely uninformed. Haha.. And that day, my current colleagues labeled my big boss as "lost"! My question - is it true the higher your position, you sure need not care at all? Nevermind if you don't get what I'm really talking about -Do you?

And yup another meet-up (part III) with my ex-hq campmates tomorrow at Harry's Bar. Been a month from the day my pink IC returned to me and our last meet-up. Out of our "hectic" schedule, everyone's free finally! Cool we'll do some catching up...

Meanwhile, this one song usah lepaskan, heard a few times on radio at work. Good song, I didn't know it was from Taufik throughout, seriously.

Listen easy, this album.

"Like a tree I stay rooted, while the seasons go by
Friends of a feather will come round and fly
Some will be special and perch for a rest
Whether to stay or just be a guest
Sometimes the weather is just never right or the
branches get weak and give way to the height
So there goes the circle of the sun and the rain
I'm left with the lessons of laughter and pain."

Hady Mirza (Hady Mirza - something engineered for easy listening, his first album).

Post-ord!

Well let me see... The last post was like last month. Duh... I was too busy nowadays to even start blogging. Oh yup some post-ord activities... I've gotten two students for tuition now. Yup crazy me! I don't even know myself how to even cope with it... still surviving. Ha... and I'm still waiting for SIM to reply me. I'll just pray hard for now that I will hopefully get in the course I'd applied for. Sigh, actually I was accepted by PSB earlier for their next year's intake and had to reply them by like that day I ord-ed. And that was October 19th last month. Wad a decision to make - PSB or SIM? One already accepted me and the other I still have to wait for the reply. Well ya I guess the date due for my reply to PSB had already passed now, and I still haven't gotten any reply from SIM... I know I just have to wait and God will be there to help me. I miss my first opportunity and sigh... I have yet to think of a plan B but this Nov month... hopefully. I'll pray hard yup...

Apparently I've sent my resume to a number of companies for a part time job which I hope I can stay on even when I have started my school next year and attended a few interviews here and there. Ha... that reminds me. I had a chat earlier on with one of my campmates about temporary office jobs. If I hopefully get into SIM full-time course which start like this January and I wanna stay on that particular job even when I start my school later on, I guess I can't possibly be doing a temp admin or office-kinda job now yep. Hmm.... I dunno but lately I have tried a part time retail assistant job at one of the Nike outlets. I'll pray hard...

And another outing with my hq campmates hopefully this month. Seeing our hectic schedule, it's quite tough to organise one with some people already ord-ed, some ord-ing soon and one ord-ing next year... *The term "head - ache" floats in my mind now* But yup... hopefully can! When there's a will, there's a way. The previous meet-up with my hq mates was on my ord day and now one of them has ord-ed after me and soon will be everyone.

*Ay, you can check out more of our previous meet-up photos on my flickr!

Time is flying by like nobody's business. It's like I have seriously no track of what day or time it is right now. I kinda miss camp... ay it's that feeling you have after you orde-ed. It's funny how when you are just really having such a good time that you forget that this moment, this very moment, you are actually living in it. You know it's something like when you are in the future right now and you look back at this time and you say to yourself, " Man how I wish I could go back there again." So my hq mates - Another dine out. I'll pray hard... it's gonna be cool.

Hmm... "Ord day". I kept it cool... displaying of pink IC is so common yup. Whatever for?! Ha... but it would be nice if I could meet up a lot more of my campmates before I really stepped out of camp. It was all but empty in apc, almost all the seniors were not in camp. That was sad for me, wad to do, but ya I've got a few juniors to talk to for my last time in camp. Chatted about how I took them for orientation drill lessons, how I made them run rounds and rounds around the parade square (Am I that bad? Ha... really sorry guys that was only during O.D. ya) and then we were one contingent for SAF Day. Haha talked for a few hours, I almost forgot I had to rush home before meeting my hq mates for dinner at suntec then.

That's all for now I supposed yup. So tired. Till the next one aight... Peace be upon you...
