Just life.

[audio; 100 years - five for fighting]

Met up with
Dan at Bugis today. And boy was I surprised. Cos this was like the first time we were stucked at Kinokuniya for frigging an hour, or veritably much much longer than that! Flipped thru magazines, A LOT including the jap ones, laughing at almost everything said, and even learning (trying super hard) some random jap sentences thru the english-jap dictionary. And DAMN... for all I know I almost forgot my break-fast timing. Thank god my sis called me! Errr, managed to get a sip of water from the tap =p

And yup we were off to
Arab Street then in search of some, the-not-so-common, local food for dinner. Speaking of food, I've been eating a lot and I knew I'm gonna have to pay for all this one day. Till I went for my recent FFIs and put me on the weighing scale and... 69kg! Faint. Ey, it's always good to have the fasting month. Now my gameplan is to lose some of it, been running and swimming lately. Haha hopefully I will stay diligent with this. So coming back to Arab Street, Dan told me of this one egyptian restaurant there but had no idea where. Meanwhile I was hoping to find this place called 'Haji Lane'. Cos I heard my other friends talking about it and I thought there might be nice food. And yeap I didn't mind exploring either. Walked around, I realised there were so much more people today than any other day. Usually, it'll be like somewhat quiet over there especially the night time. Then I remembered the new Hari Raya Carnival going on yup (Previously this has always been at Geylang area but shifted to Bugis this year). So that kinda explained why. Ended up at this egyptian restaurant called 'Altazzaq' and for all you know it's at Haji Lane! So it was like a 'win-win' thing. Dan found his egyptian rest'n and I found my Haji Lane - So. Lucky. But I recalled walking there before but didnt know it was Haji Lane all along. Haha ignorance! The shish kebab was great and the other I cant remember the name but overall good food and price (it's priced between a food court and a regular restaurant), only the getting-the-bill part was rather slow. Oh ya, mind me... this was my first time seeing the Shisha Pipes (fruit tobacco you smoke thru a water pipe) for real, and not on photos! Haha....

It was down to
Clarke Quay after that. Been a while since I went there. Walked all the way from Bugis (used to just take bus or mrt! Thanks dan!) to check out the Eski Bar there. Sigh the HAZE was enough to kill. I was almost choking. That was bad. Oh yeah, Singapore is really small, met my campmate Kaijun with a few of his friends at Boat Quay. OMG it took like forever just to walk from boat quay to clarke quay. And... man we walked in circles and almost touring the whole place - Boat Quay to Clarke Quay then Clarke Quay to Boat Quay again before realising the Eski Bar was right at Boat Quay itself. Haha. But halfway the journey, I met Keetong, my hq mate, with his girlfriend. Now it is really a small world. Had a quick chat before getting chilled for a short while at Eski Bar. The whole day was like an expedition in search of places and great food. Kinda tiring yet fun.

I miss the good old school days. I really just wanna go Uni and study and play now. I'm so freaking envious of my girl friends and the post NSF guys that have already started school... (lets put aside the strrreeesss part) Haha. God am I so relieved there is now junior to take over my admin spec position. There are so much things to do, so little time, your never ending admin work, your parades and rehearsals, your istana duties. I had to figure out all myself. That took me a while to get used to and it's not that easy mind you. There were a lot of things I've gone thru and whenever I was down in camp, I would just prefer to take it all in and wish everything will be all fine again the next day. Hmm it's just that... of all things you would expect the people close to you to actually understand you, what you are going through. But somehow there will be people who turn their backs on you. It's funny how friends can just turn on you in a split second for no valid reason. It gets you down. Well it's alrite if they won't understand me. After all, they don't really know what I'm going through back then do they? So I guess it's ok. I can't afford to go down in flames just because of stuff like this. I really appreciate my camp friends who would be there to back me up whenever I needed it. And no worries, I'm just trying to be strong.

But again I sure do miss camp (even though a lot of ppl said they wanna get the hell outta that place =p) Woohoo I'm done with my dekitting. I need to hunt for a few more signatures on my clearance form and boy... also bring the heavy stuff back home. That should be all.

So tired. Gotta go sleep now. Good night good people. Haha... Bye...
